Mayara Bertolini was awarded a postdoctoral fellowship from the AHA in December 19, 2023

Mayara obtained a Biomedicine degree at the “Faculdade Anhanguera de Santa Barbara D’Oeste”, in Brazil, and a Master degree at the Department of Clinical Pathology of the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), with a fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). She joined our group in 2019 as a PhD student investigating the mitochondrial calcium uniporter complex of Trypanosoma cruzi, the etiologic agent of Chagas disease and graduated in December 2023.
